THIS WAS MY BERLIN – Christel Alexander – Excerpts from her Cabaret Show

Singing entertainer and storyteller Christel Alexander recalls growing up in Berlin, Germany in the 1940s with original English-lyric songs by Christel Konang and popular music of the time (Gassenhauer and Schlager in German) by Kurt Weill, Paul Lincke, and Walter Kollo, among others. Accompanied by Todd Schroeder on the piano - her number one Stimmungskanone, ie, the life of the party - the show has been performed in such venues as Tom Rolla's Gardenia in Hollywood and the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert, California.
